The Journalists Association “Novomedia” 

"The transformation of media returns the transformation of nation"

 

The Novomedia Association is the all-Ukrainian non-governmental journalistic organization. It was founded in 2004 on the initiative of journalist Ruslan Kukharchuk. The Association unites Christian journalists and other creative stuff of different media in two common ways: spiritual unity and professional interests.

For today, Novomedia  Association  includes about 200 members from secular and Christian media and has representatives in the majority of regions of Ukraine. There are also members of the community in Russian Federation, USA and Canada.


The spring mediaconference Novomedia and MEDIAlliance International

22-24th of March, Kiev, hotel «Ukraine». The most actual, the most up-to-date and the most practical - at the spring media conference. The event will cover four areas: television, radio, social media, PR.

Organizators are Novomedia Association (Ukraine) and MEDIAlliance International (USA).

During three days participants will gain knowledge and practical skills for working in Christian media projects. First of all, the event will be useful to representatives of media departments of churches and Christian organizations, as well as to religious media staff.

Interesting lectures, useful workshops, practical classes in mobile TV and radio studios, modern mediacases. Speakers with long term experience have prepared exclusive presentations and materials.

Teachers and speakers

Dr. Ron Harris president and founder of MEDIAlliance International. In the field of broadcasting - more than 50 years. Including 15 years at the Christian KCBI radio station in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Harris travels around the world, conducts training seminars, teaches and acts in universities and churches. He was the Media Director of several great Evangelical churches. He was an author, director and host of programs for the national television network ACTS TV Network. He taught Broadcasting and Communications at the Southwest Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth and the Dallas Baptist University. For over 30 years he has been a member of the National Religious Speakers (NRB) organization. After serving as senior vice president at NRB, he left the organization to establish MEDIAlliance International. The organization is currently working with partners in more than 20 countries.

Ruslan Kukharhuk is a journalist, media manager, TV presenter. He is a member of Ukrainian TV channels, print and electronic media as a reporter, parliamentary correspondent, editor-in-chief, presenter, editor-in-chief (НTН channel, TBi, CITI,  "Столичные новости", "Деловая неделя", "КАМЕНЬ Краеугольный", site www.mignews.com.ua and others). Since 2004 - President of the Association of Journalists, Publishers and Speakers "Novomedia". Since 2011, he has been chairing the Organizing Committee of the annual International Novomedia Forum. Owns several media resources: the portal "All News", the site "НХМ - News of the Christian World", the musical portal mBlog, magazine INTERESNOOO. Conducts training in Ukraine and other countries on the following topics: journalism, teleproduction, media management, mass communication. Has education of journalist, director and theologian. Co-author and editor of the textbook "New Journalist".

Wes Ward - Executive Director of Ministry Development at Harvest Bible Chapel Granger where his service focuses on ministry expansion, messaging, media, mission, and church planting. His passion is to get the gospel clear, get the gospel in, and get the gospel out. Previously, Wes served as Senior Vice President at the digital agency Five Q; Senior Director of Media for Revive Our Hearts; Broadcast Manager at FamilyLife Today; National Program Director for Moody Radio as well as Program Director for WMBI-FM/AM Chicago; and Station Manager/Program Director at KCBI-FM Dallas/Fort Worth. Wes has served as Chair of the NRB Radio Committee.

  John Carley is President at Trinet Internet Solutions for more than 20 years. Trinet develops cutting edge websites, creates audio/video streaming and webcasts, and provides strategic Internet consulting. John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, and speaks nationally about the latest use of web technologies. He has been personally involved in casting the vision for use of internet solutions for businesses and ministries by helping them use function and application to communicate their messages. John has held live corporate and evangelistic webcasts from 13 countries around the world, many in multi-language formats. John served as the Chairman of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Internet Committee for three years and now serves as the 2nd Vice Chair of the NRB Executive Committee and is also a member of NRB’s Board of Directors.

Cyril and Anastasiya Kolpakovichi - engaged in media service, which covers the whole process of creating video - from script preparation and shooting to video release. Full list of production: shooting, voice recording, editing, color correction, compositing, VFX; 2.5 years of development of the "Word of God" channel on YouTube. The number of subscribers - almost 5,000, Facebook page - over 23,000. 2 years of Justan's YouTube development channel, which has 8,338 subscribers. Video from both YouTube channels is broadcast on three television channels of Odessa TV: A1, GTV, GNEWS.

 Gary Longenecker joined InTouch Ministries as Production Manager in 2009, overseeing a well-traveled department. As the Director of Photography, the veteran camera operator worked on a number of national commercial and spot campaigns. He has freelanced for ESPN, Trinity Broadcasting, and other key media organizations. 

John McKinnon has more than twenty years’ experience in broadcast media. Since 2004, he has served as Director for Broadcast Operations at InTouch, where he has led a successful HD upgrade, the build-out of two production trucks, and the transition to a new media asset management system.

Gil A. Stricklin is the Founder and Ministry Ambassador of Marketplace Ministries Inc. He has provided a Chaplain Employee Care Service to businesses nationally and internationally since 1984. He received a degree in business from Baylor University in 1957 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force through Baylor ROTC. After active duty in the Air Force, Stricklin returned to Texas to earn a journalism degree from Texas Christian University in 1963. He served as Religion Editor of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, earning Bachelor and Master of Divinity degrees. He moved to the Army Chaplain Corps in 1973 and served in that capacity for 22 years. Stricklin retired in 1994 as a Colonel from the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps, after 37 years as a commissioned officer. He graduated from the Strategic Studies Institute, the Army’s highest education, the National Defense University, and the Command and General Staff College. He spent five years traveling the globe with Dr. Billy Graham, serving as his special assistant, responsible for media relations for the worldwide evangelist. Stricklin speaks for churches and all types of conventions, school events, and businesses.
